Though my first experience about “We are New York” happened
in this class, it is a famous ESL learning website running by volunteers in
NYC. And it is one of the biggest ESL class providers.
As a future teacher, I’m happy to be introduced to this
websites and I love the free ESL episodes and other resources from this
website. Especially for the online episodes, they are quite useful, funny and
related to new immigrant’ life.
As a teacher, one could either play the videos in class, or
ask the students to watch them later and then the teacher could assign them as
role-play resource. Students could use them as a demo to create to reproduce
the scenarios from the video.
