SIMS

I still remembered that I played SIMS when I was very young. However, I have never thought that I could actually use it as a language learning tool. So I have to mention about the disadvantages first that SIMS should be used carefully and wisely. Otherwise, instead of learning English, you are playing a game for a whole day!

The good thing to use SIMS in teaching and learning is that SIMS could reproduce almost everything shown in the real life. Students could use it to, for example, “describe the scenario”, or “what have you seen from it?”

It is a great way to draw students’ attentions. However, it might take a long time preparation time to prepare your lesson. For me, I will not use SIMS a lot in my classroom.
